Hiya friends,
From the fetchmail FAQ:
" The Mail Max POP3 server and the InterChange and Imail IMAP servers are known
to
simply drop MIME attachments when uploading messages ..... If you are running
one
of these, replacing your server with a Unix machine is probably the only
effective
solution. "
Believe me, I would if I could. Running Imail 6.04, and I can't get any MIME
attachments
using fetchmail. Yet, I can point mutt directly at the server and get the
attachments.
Has anybody played with fetchmail to play nice with broken IMAP servers like
Imail?
What on earth is Imail doing that fscks things up like so? What is there in the
IMAP
protocol that allows an IMAP server to decide to drop MIME attachments
dependant on
what client is connecting? Could fetchmail just pretend to be mutt or whatever?
Thanks all.
Brian.
