[fetchmail]parse error

hi friends, 
i cannot start fetchmail as root, the is a parse error like the follow:
 fetchmail -va
fetchmail:/root/.fetchmailrc:6: server option after user options at POP3
fetchmail:/root/.fetchmailrc:6: parse error at user

but the exactly entry in en .fetchmailrc as a normal user will do a good
job !
is this strange ?
