I'm a long-time emacs/VM person, and my current work config has led me to
try running fetchmail as a daemon so that VM can check my local drive for
new mail, rather than doing network POPs every 30 sec. Thing is, I'm
running Win2k. But I'm a Cygwin guy so I figured I'd give it a shot.
I was happily surprised to see fetchmail build cleanly out of the box,
but then I realized that I don't have an MTA locally. All I want to do
is tack incoming mail onto a spool file that VM can check... someone else
must have done this by now. Any suggestions? Do I need to acquire and
build procmail? That seems awfully complicated for such a simple need.
Sorry if this is a common question; I read the FAQ and spent a while
searching Google's usenet archive with no luck.
Thanks!
