Hi all,
I have fetchmail bringing mail & delivering to a qmail server installed
as per life with qmail ( netqmail). Fetchmail gets all the messages
allright but at the end of the .fetchmailrc run when it issues a
fetchmail: SMTP< 221 it fails with a signal 13 instead of damonizing.
What could cause this?
here is the tail end of the fetchmail run.. ( servernames, usernames &
ips changed)
Did fetchmail send a bounce previously? Encounter other difficulties?
There's a similar bug report in the Debian BTS, and before I switch off
SIGPIPE (which means fetchmail sent data over a connection that had been
closed by the peer), I'd rather fix things up so that fetchmail doesn't
send too much data.
Oct 18 12:12:15 localhost fetchmail[14514]: SMTP> QUIT
Oct 18 12:12:15 localhost fetchmail[14514]: SMTP< 221 "localdomain"
Oct 18 12:12:15 localhost fetchmail[14514]: SMTP> QUIT
Oct 18 12:12:15 localhost fetchmail[14514]: SMTP< 221 "localdomain"
Oct 18 12:12:15 localhost fetchmail[14514]: terminated with signal 13
Oct 18 12:12:15 localhost fetchmail[14514]: Deleting fetchids file.
Can anyone throw some light?
Please try fetchmail 6.2.9-rc7 <http://fetchmail.berlios.de/> and see if
the problem is gone, and let us know what you've found.
Just in case, the package is mirrored at
