I wish you'd stop putting words into people's mouths. There
is a major disconnect between your understanding of what is
needed and as far as I can tell just about everybody else's.
Whether a third party signature is present or not is completely
irrelevant to the question of whether there is a valid first party
signature. And it's totally bogus to impugn that people have
somehow shifted positions between now and mailsig, and even if
they did... so what?
On the contrary, you have *not* change at all since mailsig and have made no
attempt to understand any argument made. Your first three sentences above
proves it, especially the third worth repeating:
Whether a third party signature is present or not is completely
irrelevant to the question of whether there is a valid
first party signature.
which proves:
3PS ALLOWED NO RESTRICTIONS (what you guys want)
The fact is you have not being trying very hard to "tell" because there are
clearly people here who have expressed repeatedly the benefits of allowing
restrictive 3rd party policies, if so desired by the domain.
That's the kicker here, its all OPTIONAL yet, you are not even open to
making it an option.
So who is more open-minded here?
