Over the past few weeks I've been replying to a number
of vacation mails sent to me as a result of posting here with:
Now _I'm_ getting them :P
Here are the applicable headers. Note the absence of X-loop or
Subject: Out of Office AutoReply: precedence field and mailing lists
Date: Fri, 14 Jul 2000 04:14:11 -0400
X-Mailer: Internet Mail Service (5.5.2650.21)
If Precendence: bulk stops this broken behavior, it might be
worth implementing, if only to stop the inevitable DOS that will occur
when someone clever and irritating figures out what happens when you
forge mail from one of these weenies to the list. I verified that they
don't respond to mail w/ Precedence: bulk, btw.

Of course maybe the Content-Type header lets their software know
that it's a web page, not mail, so it's not necessary to respond to
