While the availability and stability of the IETF infrastructure is

The phrase is an anecdotal reference, where the executives of a dog food
company said they knew the product tasted good because they tried it
themselves. It's a good analogy.

Getting hung up on the "dog food" part of the analogy misses the whole
point of the anecdote.

Great analogy, but one point to note, executives really do have a tasting party
with a sample of the dog food, from each shift.

I did a project with M&M Mars Inc., who own and operate Kal Kan.

Apparently, the product must be edible by humans, as what other thing than
a dog is down there on the floor... and likes to eat ?

Answer: Babies.

(not wanting to detract from the point.....)
