removing files from archives

I am using mhonarc in tandem with majordomo, and so far it's working
beautifully.
I would like to remove messages from the archives occasionally...I didn't
see anything in the documentation that describes how to remove a message
and keep the continuity of the archive (links, etc) intact, maybe I wasn't
looking hard enough?

How is this done?
