stripping body ads

2000-03-10 12:19:17
Hi,

I would like to strip out the ads which this list has added to the
message body. These are surrounded by comment tags in the original
message:

<!-- begin ONElist Sponsor -->
...bla bla bla...
<!-- end ONElist Sponsor -->

or

<!-- begin banner runid: 2058 crid: 975 -->
...<img src>...
<!-- end banner -->

The comment tags are removed by mhonarc, but the content is left
behind.

Any ideas?

Wade

Chud: From what I know any 440 or 413 that comes from a truck should be either
a dash 2 or dash 3 some dash 4 engines depending on size of truck, these
engines were all set up as high torque and have hardened seats and stellite
valves and even bronze guides. early 413 and 361 had no more then 8.0:1. (to
66') mostly in the 7.5:1 range. From 61-71 all 361-413 had no more than 7.5:1,
but there was a 65-71 383 2v that had 9.2:1. Then the 71-78 range came as high
as 8.2:1 for the 361,400,440 and 413... Now cars are much different, early 383
and 413's were all over 10.0:1, then the 1st 440 was (66' 4v) at 10.0:1 till
70' then the ratio started to drop, all 8.2:1 after 71'... There is a big
change in cams after the early 70's which made for a big range of overlap i.e.,
the exhaust valve and intake valve were both open at the same time this caused
the exhaust gas to sorta pull the intake gases into the cylinder as the e-gas
exited. The desired effect was to lower the cylinder temps and exhaust temp to
protect the Cat conv. The trucks didn't have converters till sometime later so
that maybe another reason to stick with a truck motor. hope that helps
