An alternative to a .forward that tests for the hostname is a
host-specific .forward file.  If your sendmail.cf files all have a

        $z/.forward.$w

component in their "O ForwardPath" lines, then this can work.  I, for
instance, use a .forward.helix. ($w is unqualified, at least here.)
