Searching for text in the body of an email which may/may not have newlin

Could someone please advise, on the best method of searching for text in an
email body, where it doesn't matter if the text is split across two(or more)
lines (ie. has newline characters).

eg.

Searching for the following words.

Here is the text.

Example email body

This is a test, Here is the text.

or

Here is the
text.

etc.

eg. The following line in a recipe

*B ?? ()\<Here(\<)+is(\<)+the(\<)+text\>

Would work (I think?) but are there better methods?
