procmail on AIX 4.3.3

Has anyone been successfully running procmail of a risc/6000 with aix 4.3  

I get an error trying to read .procmailrc file. Yes permission are correct and 
I've even re-compiler it with the Group...user option.  Still same error.  
Executing sendmai -v user </dev/null returns suspicious rc file and unable to 
read rc file.
