fetchmail --> procmail --> mbox --> kmail

If I remove procmail from the mail retrieval string so it becomes:

fetchmail --> mbox --> kmail

Everything works just great and kmail happily retrieves the mail that
fetchmail delivers. If I add procmail back in, all mail disappears.

Start with an empty mbox, and procmail in place, but "disconnect" kmail
so that nothing will remove messages from the mbox while you're testing.

Send a message.

Copy the mbox file to mbox.procmail.

Copy /dev/null onto mbox to empty it again.

Remove procmail from the process.

Send the same message again.

Run "diff mbox mbox.procmail". Chances are that you'll find some header
line tht has either been added, not been added, or been removed, during
execution of procmail, which is confusing kmail.
