I am a new at writing procmail procedures, and need some help.
I have a commercial distribution list server that forwards all messages
to all recipients with the original sender's e-mail in the 'From'
header. They also disable any account that has a bounced message.
I have a work e-mail server that refuses mail from outside the system
that has the company's domain in the 'From' header.
My problem is this, every time I post to the distribution list, the list
server sends a copy of my own message back to me, which of course
bounces. This results in the account being disabled.
I am not the administrator at work, and have a large political battle to
try and convince the administrators that the refusal rule is not RFC
compliant (as is the list server).
So, my procmail question is this:
Using my home e-mail server (sendmail/procmail on RH 7.3), is there a
procedure that could forward all messages untouched, but if it was from
one specific sender, re-write the 'From' header before forwarding.
I would like to place this in a .forward file if at all possible.
