Yes, I've thought of that too and at some point tried to bring it to
clear group (BATV) when it was just starting - but Dave Crocker said
absolute no to any extensions to SMTP as part of clear.

It could potentially be done as that supporting MTAs would send what
we currently see as MFROM TAGs as separate parameter where as for non-supporting MTAs they would add it directly to MFROM.
