The document() function is for XML files only.
yes, of course, which is why I say 'limited'
the point of mentioning it was that text, once it has been massaged
(e.g. simple xml wrapping), can be brought in through this route...also
as a counterpoint to unparsed-text() function in XSLT 2.0.
