Subject: [dkim-ops] DKIM + DNSSEC, advantages?
I am just getting up to speed on DNSSEC as we start moving to an
authoritative server that supports it (currently using djbdns/tinydns).
We currently sign all outbound email, and I've been trying to find some
reference online as to how the combination of DKIM + a DNSSEC validated
domain would impact our deliveries. I'm assuming that at least in theory,
the more complete chain of trust the combination of DNSSEC + DKIM provides
would mean that we'd see an overall increase in deliverability of
email.
Any thoughts on that?
I concur with the theory, at least.
Our API has support for doing DNSSEC validation and making it available
alongside the DKIM signature validation, and people have it enabled, but I
don't know whether or not anyone's using it to affect filtering decisions
inbound yet.
