We've been using it for over a year without problems but recently a
receiver questioned its compatibility given that it's not spelled out in
the DKIM RFC.
CNAMEs are a basic part of the DNS. So long as you follow the rules about
the way they work, notably that you can't put a CNAME and another record
such as A or TXT at the same name, they'll work fine.
On the other hand, if you're changing the key without changing the
selector, that's not such a great idea, with or without CNAME.
