Summary: Request for patch on dtdparse
Initial Comment:
Norman. I have reviewed your application. I find it
useful. However, I would like to suggest a tweak that
would make it even more so.
Please apply the following patch to your dtdparse
program. I think you will find that it makes it that
much more ubiquitous.
Thanks.
Shamim

P.S. I only ask to remain in the credits somewhere. I
am in the process of adding this as a filter to my
apache configuration in order to be able to view dtds.

I (ehood) am taking over maintenance of DTDParse. I am
currently re-organizing things, along with applying fixes
and other changes. One of the changes I did was to make
dtdparse more like a Unix program where if no filename is
provided, input is read from stdin. If no output file is
specified (via --output), then output goes to stdout.
Therefore, once I check things into CVS and make a new
distribution, you will be able to do something like:
prompt> someprg | dtdparse [options] | processxml
This way, dtdparse can be used at the beginning,
middle, or end of a pipeline.
