RE: retrieve & forward

2001-02-04 15:37:20
Rob,

Is it trying to use auth-SMTP? (instead of just connecting & sending through
the SMTP, it tries to authenticate) I hope not, the SMTP server doesn't
allow it/have that feature.

The address of 'eric(_at_)idealmusic(_dot_)com' is where I want the mail
forwarded to
through the virtual SMTP server of 'mail.idealmusic.com'.

Yes, the username for POP3 access I have at mail.idealmusic.com IS different
then 'eric'. But why should that matter? I am just forwarding mail to it.
Not checking the @idealmusic.com. I am checking and retrieving (or at least
trying to) the eric(_at_)cdc(_dot_)net email.

Hope I answered your question (and brought others up?). heh

Thanks in advance as always,
Eric

It looks like mail.idealmusic.com doesn't recognize "eric". Is your
idealmusic address really "eric(_at_)idealmusic(_dot_)com", or do you have a
different username there?
