Here's the particulars:
SOURCE:
fetchmail-5.6.3
OS:
RedHat Linux 7.0 (Linux ishtar 2.2.16-22 #1 Tue Aug 22 16:49:06 EDT 2000 i686
unknown)
COMPILER and tools:
$ autoconf --version
Autoconf version 2.13
$ gcc -v
Reading specs from /usr/lib/gcc-lib/i386-redhat-linux/2.96/specs
gcc version 2.96 20000731 (Red Hat Linux 7.0)
$ rpm -q openssl
openssl-0.9.5a-14
When attempting to build from source using the following configure command:
$ ./configure --with-ssl --enable-NTLM --with-kerberos
It doesn't seem to process the --with-ssl. I added several debugging messages
in the configure.in to see if it was getting called, but it wasn't. I ended up
moving the block with ssl detection to the top and everything seemed to work.
It was a quick-and-dirty solution, but it got me going. The built fetchmail
executable correctly works with ssl.
Just thought someone would like to know. Eric, sorry about the personal
inquiry earlier.
Andrew
