hello
i have been trying to receive my mail through fetchmail but every time i do
so i experience a specific error.
when executing fetchmail, and once fetchmail finds mail it tries to read it
but falls back with this error...
reading message 1 of 2 (967 octets) fetchmail: SMTP error: 250 2.0.0 Reset
state
not flushed
i haven't had any luck in fixing the problem.
this is my .fetchmailrc file...
poll mail.earthlink.net proto pop3 user brownsuper password <mypasswd>
i'm running redhat 7.0 with fetchmail-5.5.0-2.
Really need to see more from the logs, or ideally an output of "fetchmail
-v", however to start off with...
Upgrade fetchmail. 5.5 is a relatively old release.
Basically, 250 isn't an error code for SMTP, indeed it's the success code!
Something's going very badly wrong for this to be returned.
Oh, and what SMTP server are you running (including version)?
