I installed Fetchmail 5.8.9 (on a Redhat 7.1 2.4.2-2) and used it to
get my mails from a pop3-server with the CRAM-MD5
Authentification. I´t worked a week without problems, but now I get
the error msg "Segmentation fault (core dumped)". When I switch to
authentification password it works. Is there a fix, patch, solution
?
Not yet. 5.8.9 only issued a few hours ago.
On AIX 4.3.3 I got also segmentation faults with fetchmail version 5.8.9.
fetchmail version 5.8.8 is ok.
Configured with
--prefix=/usr/local/contrib --disable-nls \
--with-ssl=/usr/local/contrib --enable-RPA --enable-NTLM
used via
fetchmail -p pop3 popserv.xx.dlr.de
Greetings
Jens
Can you get a stack trace under gdb? What version were you running
before that worked?
