Hi!
Just finished to install fetchmail two hours ago... Seem to work
fine. Nice program guys ;)
By the way... Documentation tell that multiboxes would probably
result in mail lost... Isn't unmatched alias forwarded to the local
postmaster (as defined by the SET POSTMASTER configuration line)?
Why not set the postmaster's adress to a local alias (in fact, a post
list) which could then remail to every people sharing the mailbox or
filter by the FROM: line or anything else your mda can do, with or
without the use of a wrapper? The goal is that in the worst case, if
the destination user cannot be identified, everyone receive a copy of
the mail, as if fetchmail was not there... Is it all ok? Does
anybody think it could turn out in a mail loop or anything I should
bother about?
If this work fine, I will make this option separately configurable
for each server which we poll for. For instance, it could be defined
by:
[...] user maildrop with pass secret to golux hurkle=happy *=mylist
This would mean that mail on this server destinated to anyone else
than 'golux' and 'hurkle' (which are localy mapped to 'golux'
and 'happy'), should be mapped to 'mylist'. This way, each server
could define separate alias to handle unmatched mail, while bounce
and errors messages could continue being sent to the postmaster.
Well... I'm waiting for comments, before trying it... Does anyone
done something in this way before? I'm listening (on port 25, of
course ;) ).
Thanks,

(Sorry if this message get twice in the list... I received a message
from Mailman telling me that there was an error, so I'm now unsure if
the mail got to destination...)
