From what I know and use, if you set the idfile and use uidl, then if the
session finishes before you downloaded all the mail, fetchmail will write
the list of fetched uidls to the idfile. Next time around, (and I have seen
this several times) fetchmail will ignore the "seen" messages and download
only the new ones.
