[fetchmail]Viruss scanning

2001-10-29 19:40:42
I'm using amavis with sendmail to scan mails. I do not think fetchmail
uses sendmail to deliver mail locally. How do I change the local
delivery program from procmail to scanmails that amavis.

I've a dial up line to the internet and want to accumulate mail for all
my users in one mailbag and get that into my server once I establish the
dial up connection. I tried the multidrop mode using * in local user but
it does not seem to work. Switched off DNS and still have the same
problem. I saw the FAQ which recommends ESMTP dequeuing. How do I set up
a queue for a domain/mailserver that does not have a fixed IP (dial up
gives me dynamic IP). Can I use the mailertable facility and route the
mails to one local user and dequeue from that account using ESMTP? How
would this be different in behaviour from the popped multidrop account?

Can someone enlighten me please?

Bye
Mohan
