The previous patch did not account for the fact that fetchmail could
have left some mails on the server for some reasons (oversized mails,
keep option, etc.). This patch (to be applied on the previous patch)
now truly looks for any new mail since polling started.
Now, when idling for new mail, the smtp server times out and closes
the connection. When new mail arrives, the attempt to talk to the smtp
server results in a SIGPIPE being delivered.
This patch first closes the smtp connection before idling for new
mail. It has to be applied after the previous two patches in this
thread have been applied.
