I just upgraded to fetchmail 5.9.6. As for the size of the message,
looks like it is around 2.3M (from the SIZE in the logs).
Here is what sendmail is writing in it's log:

First off, please don't send HTML. It's an utter pain to read.
However, version of fetchmail? It looks like it's making the connection
to
your smtp server fine, just failing after that.
Is there anything useful from sendmail in the logs?
What's the definition of a "large" message? I've received a 1 MB email
in
the last couple of days that was downloaded fine. I can test with
larger
emails easily enough.
Please don't CC me on anything sent to mailing lists or send
