The man page does not directly answer my question and
I cannot determine the answer by making inferences from
the information given.
I want to use sendmail to handle local network distribution.
(Anybody groaning? I'm having enough problems
with fetchmail, I'm not getting started an some other MTA
until I can figure out this problem)
I receive mail addressed to my domain via POP3 from my ISP.
I want to give people I know a place to have email on my
server as well as have several different email addresses
I can use.
How do I get fetchmail to pick up email addressed to
bill(_at_)sdl(_dot_)org
kingram(_at_)sdl(_dot_)org
etc(_at_)sdl(_dot_)org
etc2(_at_)sdl(_dot_)org
and distribute it properly via sendmail to my local mailserver
(the same machine running sendmail and fetchmail) without
renaming the receiver to kingram(_at_)sdl(_dot_)org (the user with access
to the mailserver at the ISP) which is what is currently does.
Example from maillog:
Mar 6 11:41:25 gemini sendmail[1821]: g26JfPA01820:
to=<kingram(_at_)localhost>, delay=00:00:00, xdelay=00:00:0
0, mailer=local, pri=139439, dsn=2.0.0, stat=Sent
I would appreciate some help. Thanks.
