This is a multi-part message in MIME format.
Please don't do that. HTML and newsgroups rarely mix well.

Not good. Your DNS is not working now, but was earlier. Are you
_sure_ you have an active connection?

the 203.177.22.184 is the server assigned ip when i connect to my isp.

If you were able to connect to an external system just after this
(ping, DNS, HTTP) then you are using persistent host status. You
will have to clear the status file(s) or wait the retry interval.
Else your system doesn't actually know it is connected.

did try it again with ping www.yahoo.com from my mail server and it gets a
response. so i suspect that sendmail doesnt know it is connected???

Try looking at the output of
   netstat -A
while you try the second connection queue run. You have to see
at least one Active connection. You might have to use ipconfig
to down and up your default route.

tried netstat -A inet and i only see the heading/labels and no
contents/results.

if this is a networking problem could somebody please point me to the right
direction. thank you in advance. much appreciated.
