From: "TOUCHE Julien" <julien(_dot_)touche(_at_)lycos(_dot_)com>
probably a basic question, but after watching the faq, i
still don't understand why my fetchmail do nothing.
I use fetchmail 5.9.6 with OpenBSD 3.1
my .fetchmailrc is:
defaults proto pop3
fetchall keep no rewrite
poll HOST
user "touche" there is "touche" here with password "pass"
and i get :
bash-2.05a$ fetchmail -v
fetchmail: 5.9.6 querying HOST (protocol POP3) at Fri, 06 Sep 2002 11:50:35
+0200 (CEST): poll started
fetchmail: fetchmail: getaddrinfo(HOST.pop3)
fetchmail: 5.9.6 querying HOST (protocol POP3) at Fri, 06 Sep 2002 11:50:35
+0200 (CEST): poll completed
fetchmail: Query status=2 (SOCKET)
fetchmail: normal termination, status 2
Looks like it's unable to talk to HOST. Check to see if you can do a
"telnet HOST 110" from that machine.
Please DO NOT send me ANY email directly unless it's a privacy issue.
Reply-to mangled to assist those who don't read the above.
