i setup fetchmail to get mails from five GMX accounts. One user wants to
leave all mails on the GMX server, so this user is configured with the
"keep" option and the other four with "fetchall". All works fine with
"fetchall", but with "keep"-option sometimes mails are downloaded more
than once. I switched from pop3 to imap with the same result.
Sometimes, the header is only received with an empty body. With the
webmail interface of GMX you can see new mail is marked as NEW and after
fetchmail gets the mail it is marked as UNSEEN.
I have looked into the sources and found some disabled code in imap.c
(line 962-980) that describes one of this problems. I have enabled this
and mail is fetched only once and marked correctly as SEEN, but the body
is missing (so i think, this is not really that problem / fix).
What version of fetchmail are you using? What configuration? Send the
output of 'fetchmail -V'.
You should upgrade fetchmail to 6.2.0, if you haven't done so already.
You may also require a patch which fixes the IMAP SEEN problem. You
may find the patch here:

If this doesn't help, send the output of 'fetchmail -v -v' also.
