'fetchmail -v' indicates connection OK but when it attempts to
retrieve a message it hangs - not like in the FAQ - no error
messages, just hangs.
Any ideas? Permissions?
Details, details!
Version of fetchmail, contents of fetchmailrc, output of "fetchmail -v
-v", what OS, what's your local mail server?
Thanks Rob; I think my fetchmail is working now, sort of - it fetched my
mail but then made it disappear. I'm using debian 3 stable (woody),
fetchmail, exim and mutt. I know very little about this but I think I'm
actually having a mail/box/drop/directory problem. I have mailboxes all
over the place and MAIL_PATHs pointing everywhere - (grep mail /etc.)
it's took me a week of pouring over man pages, manuals, howtos, etc.
before I even discovered the concept of the queue runner!
Ah well that's the fun of Linux.
