RE: [fetchmail] Authentication

2003-03-11 13:33:12
By default it tries to us STLS, but the server does not have a valid
certificate and the connection is failing. The CommonName Does not match
the DNS Name that I am using to access it. Is there a commandline option to
be less strict about this check?

Subject: [fetchmail] Authentication

Hello,

I am having problems with fetchmail authentication. The only why I can
get
fetchmail to recieve mail from my mailserver, is if I included a "auth
password" in the config. I do not like sending my password in the clear
like this, but can't figure out how to fix it. For some reason, the man
pages speek greek to me. Can someone please point me to some howto's or
give me a pointer.

Here is a capability list from my mailserver.

Thanks much.
