Hello,
Thanks for the explanation, it seems like I'll be forced to manually log
in to the server to get these critters. One thing that still puzzles
me though is that the older version of fetchmail seems to work fine.
After I received your explanation I pointed my older version ( the RH
distributed version Fetchmail 5.9.0-21.7.3 ) at the same e-mail
server/account that the newer version (fetchmail 6.2.0) was choking
on. After running it overnight and pulling down a few hundred messages
I find no "incorrect header" entries in the maillog.
This leads me to believe there has been a change somewhere between the
two versions that has caused this symptom to surface. It may be that
this, in fact, is the desired behavior but I'm not familiar enough with
fetchmail to even make a guess. Whould you know why there's the
difference in the versions and if this now the expected behavior?
Regards, Mike Klinke

The problem is the absence of separation between body and header.. In

another (illegal) header.
The spammer is probably doing it on purpose.
As for a resolution with fetchmail, I have no idea, I'm afraid.
I came across the same problem, "incorrect header line found while
scanning headers" so I telnetted into the pop3 server and discovered
a number of emails with no headers whatsoever!
Heaven knows how they arrived in the mailbox in the first place.
