[fetchmail] Fetchmail 6.2.x problem (maybe)

2003-07-14 09:59:17
Suddenly, as in today, fetchmail is dying with a core dump. Nothing has changed, at least not that I can tell, it's just hot today. However everything else is running just fine...

This is running on FreeBSD 4.8 and using fetchmail 6.2.0 or 6.2.2. Running a truss indicates that the last thing that works is checking for $HOME/.fetchids. The next event is a core dump, or if it's not running as root a getuid() call.

Anybody know what might cause this, or what should be happening next so I can go hunting for some self inflicted stupidity?

TIA

The output from TRUSS is:
