I repeat a query I've made before:

Can anyone produce a clear, unambiguous, PROSE specification of the
uuencode/uudecode algorithm?

I'm not opposed to using something that is commonly-used and
well-specified, but I'm very strongly opposed to using an encoding that
is defined by "look at the UNIX source code".  I really can't agree to
putting uuencode into the RFC unless we can include a proper
specification.
