Re: MAIL WARS Part VI: The Revenge of X.4001993-02-19 07:49:48Excerpts from internet.ietf-822: 18-Feb-93 MAIL WARS Part VI: The Reve.. Mark Crispin(_at_)cac(_dot_)washing (301*) There is an X.400 -> MIME gateway that sends headers like: Interesting pathological case. Out of curiousity, I just tested both my implementations, metamail and Andrew, on a message like this. The results: 1. Metamail did this: This message contains data in an unrecognized format, , 2. Andrew just treated it as if it were "text/plain; charset=us-ascii", with no complaints or warnings. Does anyone have any opinions on what behavior is preferred in this situation? I suppose I ought to fix one of them to be consistent with the other.... -- Nathaniel
