Two new drafts in time for Columbus

1993-03-20 14:41:47
Well, just barely... I've managed to get two new Internet Drafts ready.
They haven't yet been published by the I-D folk, but to give people more
of a chance I'm also announcing them here. You can ftp them from
thumper now, and they'll be in the internet draft repositories soon.

The first is a revision of the MIME draft standard spec -- changed VERY
little from the last one. This seems to be pretty solid, I'm hoping we
mostly just ratify it in Columbus. Biggest substantive change was the
backing out of Content-md5.

The second draft document is a first pass at the new richtext spec. I
expect it will take quite a few more go-rounds than the first....

Anyway, try to read them if you're going to be at the 822 group meeting
in Columbus. If you aren't coming to Columbus, you might try to get
comments to me before next weekend, and I'll try to make sure any major
concerns you raise are at least discussed there...

Sorry not to have gotten this done sooner. (Sorry to be working all day
Saturday, too, but that's another matter...)

You can get them via anon-ftp from thumper.bellcore.com, directory
"pub/nsb/drafts", with the following file names:

RFC-MIME.txt
RFC-MIME.ps
RFC-RICHTEXT.txt
RFC-RICHTEXT.ps

Please let me know if there are any problems. Thanks. -- Nathaniel
