Email Etiquette

I am looking for articles or FAQ postings on e-mail etiquette, or
suggestions for writing (posting) messages.  Any pointers?

After having gaffed once again I am taking action on an idea I've
considered before, creating a style guide for participating in email
discussions.

Last year there was a folklore conference that had some email related
papers.  Does anyone have a reference for these?
