I would make the following specific revisions:
To the MIME spec:
"7bit" means that the data consists of lines of data,
where each line is separated by the octet sequence
0D 0A, no line is longer than 1000 octets
(including the 0D 0A separator), and every octet
is within the range 01-7F hex.
"8bit" means that the data consists of lines of data,
where each line is separated by the octet sequence
0D 0A, no line is longer than 1000 octets
(including the 0D 0A separator), and every octet
is within the range 01-FF hex.
"Binary" means that the data does not necessarily
conform to any restrictions.
RFC 822 is hereby amended to remove ASCII NUL (00 hex) from
the CHAR nonterminal.
To 1652:
Change references to 00 hex to instead be 01 hex.
