IETF working group on sending HTML in email formed

1995-12-06 08:53:28
At the IETF meeting in Dallas, December 1995, a BOF meeting decided
to ask the area directors for applications to start a new IETF
working group on how to send e-mail messages in the HTML format.

There is already one IETF draft on this issue,
draft-palme-text-html-00.txt.
I will shortly submit another IETF draft on this issue,
draft-palme-text-html-issues-00

I have, with the kind help from Eric Thomas, started a mailing list
for this group. The name of this mailing list is
     mhtml(_at_)segate(_dot_)sunet(_dot_)se(_dot_)
To subscribe to the list, send a message to
     listserv(_at_)segate(_dot_)sunet(_dot_)se
which contains the text
sub mhtml <your name (not your e-mail address)>

Archives are avilable by anonymous ftp from
     ftp://segate.sunet.se/DISK2:[AFTP.LISTS.MHTML]mhtml.log9512
or with shorter message headers from
     ftp://segate.sunet.se/DISK2:[AFTP.LISTS.MHTML]mhtml.digest

The archives are also available by e-mail. Send a message
with the text
get mhtml log9512
or
get mhtml digest
to listserv(_at_)segate(_dot_)sunet(_dot_)se

This message is sent to multiple mailing lists to reach all
who might wish to join the new list. Do not reply to this message,
to all the mailing lists. Preferably send your replies to the
new mailing list.
