Although not incorrect, "authorizes the sending of mail" can cover a variety of
sins. This ambiguity regularly causes misunderstanding.
So I prefer language that is a bit more precise, such as "an originator lists
authorization for an MTA along the path to a recipient to send the message".
Hence the label 'path registration'.
