While intepretation/action on a message is indeed up to the receiver,
isn't the sender making an assertion of identity in some form in the
message (whether it is in rfc2821 MAIL FROM:, rfc2822 From:/Sender:) ?
Why can't the sender make an assertion as to which identity the sender's
policy should favor, to assist the receiver ?
