Forwarders do not have to do anything to messages with signed sender
addresses. You can detect forgery of such messages without worrying
at all about the route the message took. Forgery detection can be done
at any hop along the message's route, including after a message has
been gatewayed into an organization (thought you should do it as soon as
possible to avoid creating collateral spam).
