What I can do with "MAIL FROM" checking is tell the world which MTAs

Personally, I would love to see some synergy between "MAIL FROM" and
SUBMITTER. If shared MTA operators would add SUBMITTER and an
appropriate 2822 header field, then the result would be:
"MAIL FROM" - NEUTRAL (based on my domain)
SUBMITTER - PASS (based on the ISP domain).
I still stand by my earlier posted idea to use ENVID for this purpose, when

I was more than happy even using the existing ENVID for this purpose.
;) Something like:
Mail from: <original(_at_)sender> ENVID=<forwarding(_at_)entity>
Then we could have all used it tomorrow. I know, that is not what RFC
1891, section 5.4, meant it for; but it would have been fine by me. :)
Seriously, is there anyone out there who has ENVID currently in use? It just
sits here, so unused. :)
