Open-PGP Q re DSA and keys > 1024 bit

2000-06-12 23:52:03
To all,

Upon reading 2440bis re DSA and a PGP key length limit of 1024 bits, I was wondering what the Open-PGP group recommends for signing if you use PGP keys > 1024 bits?

If you do use PGP Keys > 1024 bits, should you have another set of keys <=1024 bits for signing or is there a standard way to reduce 2048 bit PGP keys down to 1024 bits suitable for the DSA signature algorithm?

TIA for any info.

Regards
