OPES support for serv(e)lets?

2001-09-25 07:37:03

Is it the intention of OPES to make the architecture support general types
of applications, by having a framework that allows a flexible set of APIs to
be used on OPES boxes? ( the idea: Applications must port safely but not
uniformly)

Assume following example (Java servlet implementation):

I've a simple server application executing on a web server. The application
delivers images to consumers over HTTP. The images are water marked by the
application before delivered to the consumer. The application performs the
water marking (generation of code and marking) process per request.

Will the OPES architecure allow me to put this application on a OPES box
(assuming that the box owner finds the APIs I need to be safe and therefor
supported)?

Thanx,

/Patrik
