It's more just strange. Looking at the article and the
pictures that go with it, can anyone figure out what it was he
was doing?
Not a clue, especially since email was in very active use at MIT
over a decade earlier than his supposed invention (on CTSS) and
there was ARPANET FTP-based email in active use on ITS and
Multics in the first half of the 70s.
