[ietf-smtp] Ned Freed

Folks,

I've been told that, after a long illness, Ned Freed died Sunday morning.

Further information should be forthcoming.

Anyone who has had any contact with Internet mail's technical community 
-- and especially the IETF's portion of it -- is aware of just how large 
a debt we all have to Ned.
